Anna Watrous is a cellist and music educator based in Lexington, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Music Education and Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky in 2023, and will be receiving her Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration from Colorado State University in December 2024. Anna is about to start her fourth school year working for Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras as a teaching artist for both their MusicWorks program, and Friends in Music program. She is also an orchestra teacher for the Fayette County Public School System, performs locally, and maintains a private cello and violin studio. Anna is dedicated to the idea that every student is deserving of an accessible high-quality music education, and is centering her career around making this a reality in her community. Outside of music, Anna enjoys gardening, going to local coffee shops, and spending time outdoors.
