kylie meadows

Co-Director, Friends in Music

Kylie Meadows is a violist and orchestra teacher who has lived in Lexington, Kentucky for her entire life. As a native Lexingtonian, Ms. Meadows attended the University of Kentucky where she received a Bachelors in Music Education. While at UK, she performed with the UK Symphony Orchestra and taught for the UK String Project during her 4 years of undergrad. During this time, she began her private studio which included students of various ages and backgrounds across Central Kentucky. 


Ms. Meadows began her involvement in Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras as a young middle school/high school violist in the CKYO orchestral ensembles. After graduating from SCAPA/Lafayette High School, she began working with

Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras as an Assisting Teacher for their Friends in Music program. Starting this 2024-2025 season, she is excited as she steps in to become a Co-Director of the Friends in Music program. This year, Ms. Meadows is also beginning her teaching career with Fayette County as an orchestra teacher at three elementary schools. In her free time, she enjoys walking with her dog Ludacris and exploring all the local food restaurants that continually pop up in Lexington.
